Eve Speer is a charming redhead from Utah. She discovered her love of theatre working at The Stage Stop Theatre in Collinston, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. She studied Shakespeare in Performance at Mary Baldwin College and worked with the American Shakespeare Center. She holds an MFA and a Master of Letters. After finishing her work at Mary Baldwin, she moved to Washington, DC and taught classes in Theatre, English and Humanities at Stratford University and Northern Virginia Community College, in addition to working with The Maryland Shakespeare Festival. In 2010, she moved back to her home state of Utah. Since arriving, she's worked as a musical director with Midvale Main Street Theatre on several productions, including RENT, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Avenue Q. She directed On Golden Pond and To Kill A Mockingbird for Midvale Main Street Theatre as well. As an actor, she enjoys sinking her teeth into the complicated parts. Some of her favorite roles have been: Mrs. Lovett, Lady Macbeth, Hermione from A Winter's Tale, Nurse Rached from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and Puck. She had a supporting role in the movie Charley, and a leading role in the film Stop Pepper Palmer, currently in post production. Most recently, she played Mae in Darkhorse Company Theatre's production of Reefer Madness. She recently played Mrs. Mullin in Utah Rep's production of Carousel in August 2013. Currently, she is preparing for her solo concert, "Autumn Song" at Le Jardin in Sandy, Utah.
